Sound of Silence
“Weird”
that’s what they call her. Anna is a very silent person who only knows how to
sit silently on her chair and stare on the blackboard all day long while
“arrogant and bully” are the words that mark the personality of Kevin. He was popular in school not because he was
handsome but because others think he was cool having that kind of attitude.
One
morning while Anna was sitting in the classroom, Kevin suddenly appeared saying
“Good morning everyone! “ “Ooops! It seems that I’m too early today to start my
morning session huh” “Oh hello there Analene???? The early bird in our batch
hahaha.” Anna didn’t even bother herself looking back to Kevin. “Why would I
waste my time on that arrogant who can’t even pronounce my name properly? What
a waste of time.” Anna said on her mind.
Just
before the class started, everyone was busy chattering to each other while as
usual Anna was busy staring on the blackboard all by herself. Anna don’t have a
friend in her school and even her classmates don’t understand her. It seems
that she has her own world and no one can enter it except her. She use to be a
loner ever since and even though many attempted to befriend her it looks like
Anna was not into it. She was a total anti-social kind of person and no one can
understand her. On the other side, Kevin was the total opposite of what Anna
use to be. Kevin is a very jolly person
who just went overboard. Some others use to hate him while some others use to
like him. His treating life as if you only live once and always go with the
flow.
While
Kevin was busy chattering and bullying his other classmates there’s this one
thing that caught his attention and that is Anna. He can’t understand the fact
that Anna could sit all the way without even talking to others or without
interacting to others. For him it seems like she’ a sitting corpse in the
classroom. “What’s wrong with that girl? Does she have a mouth to talk or to at
least smile a little bit? What a total weirdo.”
Kevin said.
After
the class, Kevin decided to follow Anna on her way home. He made it clear to
his self that it was just out of curiosity and nothing else. “I’m just curious
of this girl and that’s all, it doesn’t have meaning and for sure that I don’t
like this weirdo girl”.As Anna reaches her destination, Kevin silently sneak a
peek behind the tree to see where does Anna live. “She has a nice house and I
can see that everything was normal there but why does she act abnormaly?
Hmmmm”.
Kevin
decided to make fun of Anna the next morning. Even though nothing is special
with this girl he can’t deny the fact that something deep inside him is very
curious about Anna already and he is just doing it to catch Anna’s attention.
Anna
was already so annoyed of Kevin that day. She just keeps ignoring it just to be
away from any problems. “what a very annoying man and by the way what’s his
problem?” “I didn’t do anything to him.” Anna said. Her face was so red and it was the first time
that someone is annoying her in the classroom.
After a couple of minutes Anna can’t hold it anymore and burst out of
angriness. “what’s your problem with me!?” “Just tell me if I did something
wrong because I can’t really remember anything bad I have done to you!” Anna
walk out crying and everybody stops for a minute and stare to each other. It’s
there first time also to see Anna act that way that even Kevin was so shocked
and didn’t imagine what he has done to her. He was so guilty that he even
followed her just to say how sorry he was and that he didn’t mean at all and
after a long conversation that day, Kevin got to know Anna a little bit more
and that’s how it all started.
Kevin
and Anna became best friends and lovers after that. They were so happy with
each other and no one can stop them from falling in love. Little do they know a
little secret Anna is hiding from everyone.
Anna
is dying. When she was young, Anna suffered from a severe car accident and
years of treatment didn’t help much at all. “Kevin I know we were so happy at
this moment but there’s something I really want you to know and I know it would
be really unfair if I’ll keep it a secret to you” Anna said. “What is it Anna?
And oh I have something to tell you too.” Kevin said.
“Do you remember back then when I used to be a
loner in school?” “To have no friends?” “Being an anti-social?” I have my
reasons Kevin. I’m so sorry but I am dying.
I tried not to get attach to anyone just incase time will come that I
have to go at least it will be easier for me to leave things behind as it is.
I’m sorry that I love you so much but then I’ll have to leave you someday. I
have brain aneurysm and it’s like a ticking time bomb in my head that anytime
once it has burst I will die. “Just tell me your kidding cause I’ll forgive you
this time, common don’t joke around like that because it’s not funny at all”.
Tears starts to flow from Kevin’s eyes while looking through the eyes of Anna.
“Why all of this is happening? Just when I found you that you will have to
leave me again”.
While
tears keep on flowing from Kevin’s eyes “Do you remember that I have something
to tell you too Anna? ““What is it Kevin?” “WILL YOU MARRY ME ANNA?” Kevin get
the ring from his pocket and propose to Anna. “But Kevin...” “Just say yes
please” Anna couldn’t resist it even though it would mean that she has leave
someday and leave everything behind. “YES Kevin” Anna said. They hug each other
very tight as if no one can separate them. THE END.
