SHORT STORY

Kitty & Lance & Halo

This story I’m going to tell is not a typical love story that couples ended up together. Kitty and Halo are best friends since grade school. They played together, shared meals and they played pranks on each other. Everything they do, they do it together. As they grew up, they met Lance who became Kitty’s Boyfriend while Halo was very happy for them. Kitty and Lance made a wonderful relationship. Years passed, their relationship became stronger. One day, the couple broke up for unknown reason and many individuals were shocked and surprised. After the broke up, Kitty and Halo are still best friends. After five long years, Kitty became more focused on her career while Halo is more focused on parenting her daughter Sam. One day, Kitty decided to visit her best friend, as she arrived, Sam hurriedly ran to her auntie. Out of the blue Sam asked something to Kitty “Auntie Kitty? Did you ever have a boyfriend?” Kitty was surprised yet she answers Sam with a simple nod. Sam asked again her auntie “So where is he now?”  Kitty answered Sam and that answer made Sam left curios and speechless. “I do have a boyfriend back in time. Yet, we broke up. We decided to call it off, so that you may have someone to call Dad.”
