Lately, I observed that the sales department just accepts
customers to purchase on account. I know it is for the objective to reach the
sales quota. However, there is a limit to allowing a customer to purchase on
account. There are a lot of times that the customers can’t pay their liability
because they are insolvent. As a result, our company Ayala Corp., would incur a
loss instead of a gain. This has a huge impact on our Financial Statements.

“Spy Version 2.0”
In IIDF (Institute of Intelligence Defense Force)
Headquarters at Virginia, U.S.A., people were busy staying in front of the high
end technology doing their work like you have seen in CSI series or FBI in
reality. In the middle of intense work, the head chief entered the quarter as
he called one person. “Major B, I have a mission for you,” he said. On the
other side, at Stanford University, California—known for its grandiose place
and one of the top notch university around the world catering high school and
college, affluent families sent their children there. Almost all the genius
students were enrolled there. In class A, Julie Nixon was known in the campus
not only that she was pretty and smart. Also, she was from an elite family.
While everyone in the class was doing their things, the professor entered the
room with someone. He called their attention and started introducing the person
beside him with a blonde hair. “Ok class! Listen, I introduce you to your new
classmate, Nathan Newman.” Every girl was smiling and excited at him. The girls
thought, he was handsome, charming, masculine and tall. Except for Julie, she
was looking at him in a normal way. The professor asked Nathan where he want to
sit. Nathan was eyeing straight to Julie which took him a minute. She met his
eyes and quickly looked away. Shortly afterwards, Nathan walked and sat at the
back of Julie. He still kept eyeing her which made her felt uncomfortable. The next
day, class A had an activity in its Science Laboratory. The professor, Mr. Jack
Morgan, announced that they would create a volcano eruption with chemical
reaction by pair. Hence, he arranged the class in alphabetical order which
means Nathan Newman and Julie Nixon were partner. The other girls were jealous
of her. However, she was uneasy and a bit scared, and looked at Stella
Johansen, her best friend, with a nervous look. Stella gave her back a look
with encouragement as if saying…”That’s
alright! Everything is going to be
fine!”
“Now that you’re
paired up, let’s create the volcano eruption chemical reaction. To keep this
more interesting, I will give an extra points for the pair who will finish
first,” said Mr. Morgan. Then, the class began. For the first time, Nathan
talked to Julie. “We can do this!” “Ah…ye…yeah let’s do our best!” Julie
stuttered. Apparently, they made a good progress in the activity. While mixing
the ingredient formula, Julie was observing Nathan thoroughly. He caught her so
she averted her eyes directly. “Is
something the matter?” Nathan asked. She replied, “No.” A few minutes later, team Nathan and Julie finished the
volcano eruption activity. The professor called them in front and declare them
the winner. Everybody was amazed that they finished it in a few minutes. Julie
was overjoyed that they got extra points, and she inadvertently about to give
Nathan a high five. However, he just looked at her, a bit surprise so Julie
smiled and put her hand down quickly.
On Saturday afternoon, standing on the street alone,
several guys attacked Julie to snatch her things. Suddenly, Nathan came to the
rescue and beat the guys with amazing moves. Mesmerized, as she watched him, “Wow! He’s so cool,” she thought but with
no idea how he was able to find her. Then, she thanked him while he handed her
things. In the library, Julie was having trouble solving the complex problem in
calculus. He was approached by Nathan helped her solving the problem as Julie
was staring and smiling at him. Later on, the two became closer with each
other. They even ate lunch together with Stella but most of the time, Stella
wouldn’t join them for she has some other things to do. Actually, she just made
it an excuse so that Nathan and Julie could have their moment getting to know
each other like they’re on a date. Now, it’s time for Julie to show him what she
likes and does so they entered the art room in Stanford just the two of them. There, you could see a
lot of splendid artworks made by students. Next, Julie taught Nathan about pot
making. She gently held his hands to guide him in doing the pot making. Nathan
was staring so much at Julie and she looked at him starting to get shy so she
went away which made him smile. Later on, Julie began to develop a special
feeling towards Nathan in which she want to suppress it but her feelings grew
stronger. Meanwhile, Nathan realized that something is missing if he can’t talk
or see Julie. Thus, the two of them began talking on the phone and almost
stayed up all night. One month passed, the head professor announced to
everybody that they would have a senior high school prom. Everybody was all
excited especially girls who can’t wait to dance with their date. Most of them
were aiming for Nathan, wanted to dance with him. A guy named Chris Evans was
about to ask Julie to be his date but suddenly stop when he saw Nathan coming.
Chris Evans who wanted to be closer with Julie but every time he tried to make a
move on her, it won’t succeed for he got irritated around Nathan.
Eventually, Nathan asked Julie to be his date which made
her blush a bit. Before the senior prom, everybody was seriously practicing the
dance with the background music entitled When I’m With You by Faber Drive. One
day left, everybody was all excited and made the preparations. Girls went to
the salon and skin care to look beautiful, ordered an expensive and luxurious
gowns wherein most of them were designed by famous designer in Hollywood. Guys
picked the best tuxedo and branded shoes to wear in order to attract girls. The
day has come for senior prom! Stanford made the grand decorations for the Oscar
theme. One by one, each pair had arrived with a car. Afterwards, each pair was
walking the red carpet and went on picture taking showing each best smile. The
huge hall room was already filled where you can see a lot of high end brand and
luxurious gowns, sandals with heels for the girls whereas tuxedo and shoes for
the guys. Everything was so shining and shimmering inside the hall. Minutes
passed by, Nathan Newman arrived at the hall alone. Of course, he was like
perfect looking so handsome with his black suit. The girls were attracted and
giggling. Shortly afterwards, Julie entered the hall wearing pink gown with a
hairstyle like Taylor Swift in The Love Story, shy as she entered. Everybody
was stunned at her. She was absolutely gorgeous in her style which made all the
guy wanting to dance with her. Nathan slowly turned around to see her, looking
stunned. Everything around him turned slow motion for Julie was so lovely. When
she approached him, he got tongue tied didn’t know what to say, “Yo..y…you are so gorgeous Julie.” “Thank you. You are so handsome Nathan!”
Julie said with a sweet smile. After an hour, the dance started. “Shall I have this dance?” Nathan asked.
The music started playing—When I’m With You. Nathan slowly wrap his left hand
around Julie’s lower back and his right hand holding hers. Julie gently place
her left hand on his shoulder. Then, they dance romantically. They were so
close with each other and staring each other as their eyes were glowing. Nathan
felt delighted at the same time nervous. It’s like butterflies were sparkling
on both of them. Love is in the air. After the dance, they declared Nathan
Newman as prom king and Julie as prom queen while the rest were jealous but
happy for them. They dance again for the last time feeling the moment. Both of
them can’t hide the joy they felt inside. That was an unforgettable
evening. At home, they talked on the
phone about that night with delight, before going to sleep.
The next day, Julie was walking along the hallway.
Suddenly, Chris approached her. They talked near the Hover Tower just the two
of them. A few meters away, Nathan was cautiously watching them. As he saw
Chris fishing something in his pocket, the former did a brief simulation
picturing out that Chris might have a hidden intention towards Julie. Thus,
Nathan dashed straight to their place like lightning flash and slapped the item
away. There, he saw it was a charcoal meant as a gift by Chris. “Hey moron! What’s wrong with you?!”
Chris shouted angrily while pushing him. Nathan hit him hard and fell to the
ground badly. Julie was shocked! “Nathan!
What do you think you’re doing?” Julie asked in aghast manner. But before he
could answer her, he fell to the ground. Chris punched him hardly on the face.
Then, Nathan pushed Chris with a blow. Within a minute, the two of them were
rolling on the ground. Nathan was atop Chris, consecutively punching him. Julie
screamed “Stop…! Nathan stop! That’s too
much!” She tried to pull Nathan but she was accidentally pushed by him.
Nathan rushed over to Julie to help her get up but she moved him away and left
together with Chris. Nathan was calling her name but Julie ignored him all day.
At night, Nathan was calling her on the phone many times but Julie turned him
off for she was terribly mad at him. Tomorrow morning at Stanford University,
Nathan greeted her.
Nathan: Julie please…talk to me (while blocking her way)
Julie please…Can we talk? Just listen to me once!
Julie: Step aside will you!
Nathan: Alright! I’m sorry…I’m deeply sorry. I made a
stupid mistake. I just want to protect you
Julie: Protect me? From what…? Can’t talk? You know what!
You’re just exaggerating things…You’ve lost your mind Nathan
After the class, Julie went with Chris to compensate for
what happened, dining in Blugré Café. Late in the evening, the two walked near
the park while chatting. Suddenly, a group of men showed up. One was whining. “Hey boss! What took you so long to bring
that miss here? You know it’s very
tiring waiting here without something to eat!” Julie began to get nervous.
“Uhm…Chris. Who are they?” Chris
grinned. Julie sensed that she was in danger so she ran faster as she can, and
called Nathan telling him her location. Eventually, he rushed over to the scene
but it’s too late. They were gone! He drove his sports car rapidly trailing
Julie’s whereabouts using the device he placed on her phone.
In a factory site, Julie was tied up on a chair while Chris
was going in circles around her.
Julie: You
bastard! I thought you’re kind! But you just played the victim!!! (shriek voice)
Chris: Oops! You fell to our trap. Ha ha ha (laughing like
Joker in the Batman) I don’t know why you were put in class A when you are this
gullible! When you and that moron quarreled, I thought I had the chance in
succeeding my plan and I did. Although, it was hard to be closer with you
because he is vigilant. Finally, I managed to lure you in.
Julie:
Nathan was right all this time but I didn’t pay attention to him (about to cry)
Chris: My advice is don’t be deceived easily by looks (as
he whispered to Julie’s ear)
The reason why they kidnapped her was because Mr. Carlo
Diaz, a Mexican dealer, ordered them. Mr. Diaz lost million dollars to Julie’s
father, Steve Nixon, in a casino. Also, he can’t earn much profit because of
his tough rival Mr. Nixon in the wine industry. He wanted to take his revenge
against him by abducting Mr. Nixon’s daughter and extort money out of him.
“I guess your prince
in a white horse can’t save you now,” Chris said. “He will come! I have faith in him,” Julie said eagerly. Suddenly,
someone broke down the door. Chris looked in terror as he saw Nathan, holding a
gun, before his eyes. He defeated his men that made Chris angry. He fired the
gun at him and began chasing him all the way. Another man came into the room,
one of the surviving men of Chris. He placed Julie while tied up on a chair on the conveyor belt for
cutting and switch the button on. Julie was extremely terrified watching the
sharp blade, and she was shouting out loud. This alerted Nathan, he shot the
man. He tried to get Julie out but he was hit at the back by Chris with a
metal. Then, the latter started kicking him hardly. However, Nathan managed to
escape from Chris and knocked him out. He was able to save Julie. Later, the
police came. In the end, Julie apologized to Nathan. That time, he revealed the
truth about him.
“I’m part of the IIDF
aka Institute of Intelligence Defense Force. We had received an info. that one
group would try to threaten the Nixon family. The informant said someone might
try to disguise as a student and target you Julie. Thus, I enrolled in Stanford
University to watch over you and I go by the alias name Nathan Newman. Julie, I
think this is the last time I’m seeing you. Don’t worry Mr. Diaz and company
were targeted by now. Your security is assured.”
“What are you talking
about Nathan?” asked Julie in a crying tone
“My mission is done
so I won’t be seeing you anymore. By
the way, my real name is Bryce Mendes. Goodbye Julie…
Tears run down on Julie’s face as she watched Bryce
disappearing from his sight.
The next
day, the professor announced to the class that Nathan Newman was officially
withdrawing. Of course, Julie was the only one who knew his real name. Within
weeks, Julie was all gloomy after Bryce was gone. She called him every day in
one week but there was no reply. Julie reminisced all the happy moments she was
with him especially the dance. That made her cry again feeling anguish.
Two
months passed, it was Stanford University’s sembreak. Stella and Julie went on
shopping. Julie paused for a while. She can’t believe what she just saw. It was
Bryce Mendes waiting outside the perfume boutique. Her friend Stella approached
her and tried to look at where Julie was looking.
“Oh My Goodness!”
Stella blurted. The two of them were quietly watching. Then, a girl came towards
Byrce smiling and talking. They off to go while the girl was holding his arms.
Julie sadly turned away but Stella grabbed her wrist and encouraged her to
follow them to know the truth. Hence, they quickly followed Bryce and that girl
in H&M store, and hid on the clothes so that they won’t be noticed. Julie
was aggressively staring at them. She can see that Bryce was so happy with her.
She even watched as Bryce paid the bill for those clothes. Stella was about to
whine about it but the saleslady came in. Apparently, the girls ran hurriedly
before they could lose sight of them. Next, they continued tailing them to a
restaurant. The two of them sat at the last table near the exit area while
covering their faces with the menu. Shortly afterwards, Julie’s eyes grew
widely when she saw the girl wiped the dirt across Bryce’s lips. Thumping the
table while saying, “Alright! I have
enough, I’m through with it!” and left quickly as Stella followed after her. The girl notice
those two leaving. “What are you looking
at Elle?” Bryce asked. She pointed to the last table but Bryce didn’t see
them. They walked out of the mall.
At home, Julie’s father invited her to a grand party. She
thought this could be a chance to forget Bryce so she said yes. Consequently,
they arrived at the luxurious MGM hotel. Mr. Nixon introduced her daughter to
his business partners. One of them, Mr. Robert called his son. Julie was
curious who it was and thought she could date that guy to move on.
Unexpectedly, that guy was Bryce Mendes himself—son of Robert Mendes who owned an airline company. Deeply shocked, she was not at herself. Mr. Robert introduced
his son to them. Bryce, flustered looking at her, gave her a handshake. After several minutes, he made the opening speech. Julie was glaring at him until someone
caught her attention. She recognized the blonde hair girl whom Bryce with,
wearing baby blue dress and cheering for him. After the ceremony, Julie went to
the dessert section. Bryce touched her shoulder as he called her name.
Julie: Nathan! Ah…I mean Bryce (stammered).
She was about to ask him but she directly ignored him because
she was still hurt. The girl was approaching Bryce. Julie glared at them.
Julie: It looks like I have to go. I might interrupt your
beautiful conversation (sarcastically said)
Bryce: Wait I haven’t introduced you
Julie: Never mind that
The girl asked, Bryce
who is she?
Bryce: Well she is Julie. Julie I want you to meet Elle, my
sister
Julie: You…your sister? (astonished by the fact) You didn’t tell me you have a
sister
Bryce: Oh... I’m sorry about that. I forgot (a bit shy). Well, Elle just got back from her
London vacation
All this time, she got jealous over Elle thinking that Elle
was his girlfriend. Now, Julie was ashamed of herself and realized how stupid
she was. In the end, the party turned out so well. Julie and Elle became so
close. Back home, an unknown number was ringing on Julie’s phone. She heard
Bryce’s voice asking her for a date. She got all excited. It had been so long
since they talked, missing each other’s voice.
The next day, Julie was agitated and made all the
preparations, wanted to look best. In the afternoon, Bryce was waiting in Julie's mansion. She was very excited when she saw Bryce and they greeted each other (both delighted to see each other). Apparently, Bryce fetch Julie at home
with his Range Rover. First, they went and ate at an Italian cuisine. Second,
they went to a theme park, took rides and played games. Laughter was all over
them. As the evening came, Bryce and Julie were walking alone in the theme park
while holding hands intertwined. They paused for a moment “Julie I want you to look up the sky,” as he counted 1, 2, 3 and
snapped. Boom! The fireworks lit the sky. To make it more romantic, the music background
was playing—When I’m With You by Faber Drive.
Julie: Did you prepare all this? (amazed)
Bryce: Yes! I made it special for you. Shall I have this
dance?
The two was dancing gracefully in a traditional way where
Bryce wrap his left arm around Julie’s lower back while his right hand holding
her hand.
Bryce: Julie... I want you to listen carefully. I’m sorry if I hurt
your feelings. I regretted it when I left you behind. I made a big mistake. Without
you, I’m incomplete. All the special things that happened to us weren’t a lie.
You’re one of the best decision I made. I want to be with you because you
complete me. From the bottom of my heart, I love you Julie.
Butterflies filled Julie’s stomach. She couldn’t help but
blush after hearing those sweet words out of him.
Julie: Bryce... Ever since I met you, I thought you were scary but turned out to be nice.
You’re there to help me. You even saved me from danger. I couldn’t be happier than
seeing you right now. You made my day special. I love you too Bryce.
Finally, Bryce drew his face with closed eyes, closer to
Julie who slowly close her eyes. They ended it with a gentle kiss as he was
holding her tightly, dancing along with the music.
